The Miro Foundation is a charitable organization entirely dedicated to children suffering from diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) and their loved ones. DIPG is a very rare and incurable form of brain cancer.

The Miro Foundation’s mission is to provide quality of life by :

-  offering the necessary support to the sick child and next of kin
-  taking an active part in reflecting on the medical and ethical stakes
-  contributing to the research efforts to find a cure.

Vision

Considering the foreseeable and fatal outcome of DIPG, time is short. It is essential that those closest to the sick child find the support they need to transform the young patient’s final moments into precious quality time. The Miro Foundation also plans to stimulate and encourage research to find a cure.

In memory of Miro Angers-Laurin (22 june 2000 -  15 august 2012)

The Miro Foundation was created in honour of Miro Angers-Laurin, a DIPG victim. Until the very end, relatives, friends and thousands of Quebecers took on the task of making Miro smile every day.
